Welcome to the Henderson-Clark Family Website
The Henderson-Clark website is dedicated to the
descendants of William Henderson, Henry Clark, and their wife,
Sallie Bandy. These descendants have requested a way to bridge the
gap between the past and the present, the young and the aged, and
the time and distance that separates our family members. The goal
of the Henderson-Clark website is to close that gap by establishing
a centralized communication source. The website is a historical
database, detailing information regarding our family’s history and
documenting history as we make it today.
As we build this website and develop it over the
years we hold dearly to our values: Tolerance, spirituality, and a
unity of effort. We value tolerance because we recognize that the
spark of creativity and growth may arise from the most unlikely
sources. We value spirituality because it transcends religion,
sparking uniqueness as individuals while providing a foundation for
unity. The life of the website will reflect the spirit of its
contributors. We value a unity of effort, that is, a joint effort
of website creators and Henderson-Clark descendants to meaningfully
contribute to the website’s growth.
This website has been active for several years now
and its content reflects that growth. Here are some interesting
facts…
The scholarship has arguably been a success. We are
in the 7th year of the Etta Mae Robinson Memorial
Scholarship having contributed $6000 amongst its recipients.
The second edition of the Henderson-Clark Family
Tree: The Descendants of Henry Clark, William Henderson, Martha Ann
Clark, & Sallie Bandy was created and distributed.
A limited first edition and a full second edition of
The Fuller Family Tree: The Descendants of John & Amanda Taylor
Fuller was produced.
In 2009, Auburn was the host city for the largest
combined Henderson-Clark family reunion EVER. For many years the
Henderson’s and the Clark’s have gathered separately. Thanks to the
reunion committee and the dedication of many of you, the Henderson’s
and Clark’s gathered hand in hand to the applause of our ancestors.
The Fuller family is representative of my great
grandmother, Nellie Ann Fuller Henderson. Family members across the
country have been identified and reunited with our extended family.
We dedicate a link to the Fuller family here.
The Ascension page celebrates the life of our family
members that have passed since 2006. One could say that this
section has grown too fast, having lost many family members in these
brief few years.Website updated as of February 2010.
